Slack

Status Harbor ships a Slack app you install via OAuth — no manual webhook URL handling.

Setup

  1. Settings → Integrations → Slack, click Connect to Slack.
  2. Slack's OAuth screen lets you pick the workspace and the channel to post to.
  3. Authorize. You're sent back to Status Harbor with the destination added.

You can connect multiple workspaces and multiple channels per workspace. Each becomes its own destination with independent notify on start / notify on resolve toggles.

What gets posted

A compact message per event with monitor name, status, region (if public) and a link back to the incident. Recovery messages are posted to the same channel.

Removing or re-authorizing

If the app is removed from a Slack channel or workspace, the destination is automatically marked blocked the first time a post fails. Re-connect from the same panel to restore it.

To remove a destination, click its menu and Disconnect. This also revokes Status Harbor's access to that channel.

Limits

  • No hard cap on destinations.
  • Slack rate-limits very chatty workspaces; Status Harbor backs off and retries.
